Save the Date: Marine Corps Marathon Registration Opening Today

Mark your calendar, set an alarm: Registration for the 2013 Marine Corps Marathon opens at noon today (Wednesday, March 27).

Registration will take place at www.marinemarathon.com.

You may only have a few precious hours to register—the Marine Corps Marathon sold out in a record 2 hours, 41 minutes last year and registration pace may beat that record in 2013. 

Registration is $99 for the event, which is scheduled for Oct. 27. 

In 2012, approximately 80 people from McLean and Tysons finished the full marathon. James Davis was the fastest finisher from McLean with a time of 2:57:08, for an overall split time of 6:45 per mile.

Registration is already open for the marathon for active duty military personnel. Registration is also already open for several other Marine Corps events prior to the marathon, including Run Amuck, the Historic Ten and the Historic Half.
