There's a Governor's Race Underway (But Who Cares?)

Fewer than half of eligible voters will turn out. Will you?

That’s not quite the case in this year’s election between Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Ken Cuccinelli, but it’s close enough.

The Washington Post did an analysis of Virginia gubernatorial elections, and here’s what the paper found: If there’s not a presidential race on a ballot, Virginians stay away from the voting booths in droves.

Of course, with millions of dollars being spent on television ads, it’s just about impossible to ignore the race completely.
