Silver Line Delay Announced, More Testing Needed MWAA Says

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced that additional tests will be needed before the first phase of the Silver Line is up and running.

“Recent testing of the Silver Line in preparation for substantial completion has identified needed software modifications to the Automatic Train Control System,” reads the announcements from the airports authority.

Phase 1 of the Silver Line, which includes four stations in the Tysons Corner area, was initially set to open by the end of the year.

However, the testing would mean that the opening date will be pushed back until at least March, according to the Associated Press
