Saturday is Drug-Take Back Day

Drop off your expired, used, or unwanted prescription drugs in McLean.

Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, and several Fairfax County locations will serve as drop-off points.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at several locations, including the McLean District Police Station at 1437 Balls Hill Road.

The event is meant to help residents dispose of potentially dangerous expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs, according to the DEA.

Since 2010, law enforcement officials and the DEA have taken in more than 2 million pounds of expired prescription drugs, according to a press release from the administration.
