Unlawful entry
A resident reported that an unknown man tried to break into their home. The incident took place at 2:19 p.m. Tuesday on the 7000 block of Metropolitan Place in Falls Church. The man left almost immediately when he saw someone was in the home, according to police.
Larcenies reported on Tuesday:
1100 block of Crest Lane in McLean: a ring was reported stolen from a residence
7900 block of Tysons Corner Center: a stroller was reported stolen from a vehicle
