EDGE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE APPOINTS SARA HOBBS SENIOR PROPERTY MANAGER AT THE FAST-GROWING FIRM

June 4, 2014 (Tysons Corner, VA) – EDGE Commercial Real Estate, the leading locally owned commercial real estate advisory, management and investment company in the Washington/Baltimore metropolitan area, announces today that it hired Sara Hobbs as Senior Property Manager in the Tysons Corner office of the rapidly expanding firm.

In her new role at EDGE, Hobbs will oversee several buildings in Northern Virginia that the company manages on behalf of its clients.

Prior to coming on board at EDGE, she served as a Property Manager with Bethesda-based First Potomac Realty Trust. Possessing more than 15 years of property management experience in the Baltimore/D.C. region and beyond, Hobbs also previously worked for Arlington-based Vornado/Charles E. Smith, Dallas-based Lincoln Property Company, Newton, Mass.-based Reit Management & Research, and Cassidy & Pinkard (now Cassidy Turley).

Throughout her career, she has managed a wide variety of properties, including Class-A medical and office, flex/industrial and government, as well as mission-critical facilities.

Hobbs is a Certified Property Manager (“CPM”) by the Institute of Real Estate Management (“IREM”), where she is an active member of the Northern Virginia Chapter’s Executive Council and also formerly served on the National Council’s Advisory Board.

While at Vornado/Charles E. Smith, Hobbs led the team that received a Building of the Year award and also was voted 2009 Committee Member of the Year for IREM’s Northern Virginia Chapter.
