- The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority is hosting a work shop on “Promoting Your Startup: Musts and Mistakes.” The workshop is from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the FCEDA on 8300 Boone Boulevard, suite 450 in Tyson’s Corner.
- The Vienna Woman’s Club meets from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center on 120 Cherry Street in Vienna.
- Mark your calendar: the Fall for the Book festival starts Sunday and continued until September 27. Meet authors and attend seminars. Find out more about the program.
- Fairfax County Public Schools Superintendent Karen Garza along with four others will be on a panel discussion called Behind the Headlines: the State of Education in Fairfax County. The forum is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fairfax High School on 3501 Rebel Run in Fairfax. The Washington Post-sponsored event is free.
