2013: Ryan McElveen's Goals for Fairfax Schools
Fairfax County School Board member shares list of "ins" and "outs" for the new year.
As 2013 approaches, Patch has asked Fairfax County School Board members to share their goals and priorities for 2013.
Member Ryan McElveen (At-large) chose to write an "Unofficial FCPS 2013 In-and-Out List." It runs unedited below.
It’s that time of year when we reflect on all we’ve done over the past year and look ahead to what the New Year will bring.

Ryan McElveen is an At-large member of the Fairfax County School Board. The list above is written in a light-hearted spirit, and represents Ryan’s views, not necessarily those of the School Board.

What a waste of an opportunity to share your views with the community.
I do not particularly agree with Co-chair Hynes views, but she told us what her goals are. What are yours, Mr. McElveen?

Love that "quinoa" is at the top! Also like seeing SLEEP, Pre-K, and water. Creative way to share your thoughts. Thanks.

I must agree that this list is juvenile and poorly represents the community concerns. I know that board member mcelveen is young and trying to be cute here, but when it comes to educating our kids - something that people look to for home values, bringing new business to Fairfax county, etc - I for one would appreciate a more professional communication from a person entrusted with a seat on the school board.

OMG - what stupidity. Our "world-class" school district is seriously represented by this clown? This list reads like a silly year book entry. Could we please have some adults running our school board. This wasn't creativity. It was stupidity.
